I can also provide well-researched, accurate writing in many forms.
Here's my resume.
The Word for Word compilation is a loose collection of newspaper and online columns about words and their origins. It was published daily for several years in The Courier-Mail in Queensland, then continued online. Queries about word origins or oddities are welcome.
Look for Word d'Jour, a dose of linguistic lunacy and levity posted daily for weeks at a time until exhaustion sets in. It will return, refreshed, eventually, (other duties such as paid employment permitting) on my Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter feeds. Suggested definitions are most welcome and will be credited if published.
Entries are now being accepted for Queensland's annual media awards, the Clarions, so if you write, edit, produce, operate a video or still camera or produce graphics, get in there and show off your work. Entries close at 5pm on Friday, July 15.
A Pictorial History of Queensland (Acacia Press, Brisbane). This is just about out of print now although the publisher might have a few copies of the second edition left.
Hold the Front Page - Writing for Newspapers
Definitely out of print now but watch for an updated version, Hold the Front Page - Writing for New Media, coming as an E-book.
